Beautiful captivating piece that entices your imagination to travel through a mirage of colors flavors and feelings. Through his uses of parallel images the artist reminds me of the duality in which we all reside in which we see negative and positive views of what happends to us. It’s vibrants colors remind me that there is a fire within me that still feeds my soil
I saw this piece maybe during then pandemic or whenever Mike started publicly sharing his artwork on social media and it grabbed me. It called out to me. I wanted it so badly.
I reached out about it but I was going through a life transition so the timing wasn’t right. Well, I am happy to say that now I sit in my favorite room of my house, my Happy Place and I get so much joy staring at it. It represents power, honor, and protection. It’s such a lovely work of art and it fits perfectly in my Happy Place room.
We purchased Calypso for our home. It has landed on our mantelpiece and blends beautifully with our favorite pieces of meaningful objects. The aesthetics are pleasing but the visual integration of head and heart in Calypso moves it from just being a decorative object towards a daily reminder to maintain a balance between our thinking and feeling. Sincerely Benjamin Lowder
She loves it. She spontaneously did an interpretive dance to express her gratitude. It’s hard to wash it as she won’t stop wearing it.
It fit the vibe of my basement hang out room with a Sister piece of art also from Vargas!! I find myself lost in stories when I go deep into the artwork.
